Dr. Hope O'Brien


Dr. Hope O'Brien is board certified in Neurology and Headache Medicine and holds an Executive MBA degree. She is the Founder and CEO of Headache Center of Hope, a private practice located in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is also credentialed as adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. O’Brien is also a paid consultant for AbbVie.

As a recognized “Top Neurologist” in Cincinnati Magazine, Dr. O’Brien continues to actively pursue academic and research endeavors. Her academic career as a published scholar includes publications in well-respected peer-reviewed journals, abstracts, and book chapters. She is a national speaker with presentations focused on diversity, equity and inclusion related to migraine care and improvement of outcomes for all individuals living with migraine.

Dr. O’Brien has been appointed on expert committees as Vice Chair of the Meeting Management Committee and Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN).  As a graduate of the AAN Leadership Development Program, she continues to promote efforts to increase the pipeline of underrepresented individuals in the field of medicine and research.  As a Fellow of the American Headache Society (AHS), Dr. O’Brien has been Chair of the Underserved Populations Committee and remains actively involved as speaker and member of the First Contact Committee and Women Leadership Subcommittee.  Finally, Dr. O’Brien also serves as a member of the Accreditation Committee of the United Council of Neurological Subspecialties (UCNS) and is on the Medscape/AHS Advisory Board Migraine Center of Excellence.
