Laura Richer CHt

Laura Richer, CHt, is a Certified Hypnotherapist and Master Life Coach, and she has been initiated in the Second Degree of the Usui Shiki Ryoho System of Reiki Healing. Her love of learning has taken Laura to Western Washington University, The Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, Basytr University, and Seattle Life Coach Master Training as well as many self-help seminars, transformational workshops, yoga classes, spiritual retreats, and much more. Laura is currently pursuing her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University. Laura is certified through the International Hypnosis Association as well as The Reiki Alliance.

Until 2012, Laura followed the recipe that she had been given for happiness as she understood it. Laura graduated from college, backpacked around Europe and spent a few years living abroad, found a corporate job with excellent benefits, had a beautiful wedding, married a cute guy with a sexy east coast accent, bought a house, and settled in to what appeared to be a shiny and perfect little slice of the dream. However, the inside was a different story. Laura hated her job, she did not feel connected in her relationships, and she was living in a city that felt nothing like home to her. Laura admits that she had very consciously created this life. Nothing was forced on her; yet, she still found herself unfulfilled. At times, she felt like she was on the verge of a nervous breakdown, but the truth was that it was an opening, a window into a different possibility, something she hadn’t considered before. In fact, the breakdown of her life was a gift! She knew she was on the verge of something meaningful, but she would need to change her entire life to get there, which was terrifying. Over the next few years Laura made those changes—she divorced, left her corporate job, and moved back to Seattle to start over.

This was a start, but it didn’t take long for Laura to realize there was a lot more to be done. She had changed everything on the outside but soon realized that is was internal work that needed to be done. She started saying yes to the things that inspired her. She let go of many of the “shoulds” and started creating a life that felt good on the inside instead of caring about what it looked like on the outside. And she makes this her life’s practice.

Laura opened Seattle Healing in 2012, where she has connected with countless amazing people. A magic alchemy of healing, teaching, and learning comes from the interaction that she has with clients who are caught in the storm of transition and transformation—clients who are on the verge. She helps them harness the power of their breakdowns to break through to something truly fantastic.

Laura finds herself content and inspired on a daily basis. Even though she freely admits that she doesn’t have it all figured out, Laura is proud to say that she has a conscious, loving relationship with herself. She has found her purpose and looks forward to going to work every single day.
