Kenneth Anderson, MA, has worked in the field of harm reduction since 2002, both in the trenches doing needle exchange and as director of online services at Moderation Management. In 2007, he founded HAMS, the first world-wide, harm reduction-based support group specifically for people who drink alcohol. HAMS is lay-led and free of charge. Anderson is a regular presenter at the National Harm Reduction Conference and has presented the HAMS alcohol harm reduction program to addiction counseling classes at NYU, The New School for Social Research, and many other venues. He also has a blog in Psychology Today titled "Overcoming Addiction" and hosts a weekly show on Blog Talk Radio.
