Helene Lerner


Helene Lerner overcame significant challenges, including a self-destructive food addiction, to forge a successful career devoted to empowering women. After working her way up through the marketing ranks of the New York Times, she launched her own media development company with the goal of providing women with what she once lacked: the support and information needed to overcome obstacles and achieve their potential. Since 1994, she has produced and hosted more than twenty television specials, earning two Emmy Awards as well as American Public Televisions "MVP" award for her work. She is also a prolific author, a popular speaker, and the founder of WomenWorking.com, one of the premier websites for professional women. In addition, she maintains a private practice as a workplace consultant and personal coach specializing in leadership, diversity, and a wide array of womens issues. She lives in New York City.


She is the author of nine books including Smart Women Take Risks: 6 Steps for Conquering Your Fears and Making the Leap to Success; Time for Me: A Burst of Energy for Busy Women; and What Makes a Strong Woman? Her newest book is In Her Power, Reclaiming Your Authentic Self.
