Becka Hood
Becka is a Master Certified Life Coach, Certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor, Herbalist and Owner of Olde Souls Shop in Grass Valley, California.
Her approach to coaching is one of unconditional positive regard. Her passion is being able to provide a loving, safe environment where people can nurture themselves. She helps people to attain and sustain a life of intention and purpose.
Becka has over 21 years of experience as a Substance Use Disorder counselor. She has had the honor of working with thousands of people from all walks of life. This field has impacted Becka‘s life in such a profound way as she too has struggled with, and overcome her own addiction to alcohol and other substances. Becka is proud to say that she has been clean and sober for nearly 22 years.
When Becka was a child, her grandmother had used folk remedies to treat the common ailments in the family. Becka found this fascinating and always hoped to pursue the field of Herbalism one day. In 2015, Becka was given an opportunity to attend an Herbal Apprenticeship Program. Once she received her certification, she began formulating teas and body products for her friends.
Soon her company Olde Souls was born. Becka loves being able to handcraft products for the body, mind, and spirit. Her shop has been a thriving hub of activity for over three years. The shop has always been a sanctuary for people to stop by and soak in the beautiful, peaceful energy.
Then came the day that Becka had lunch with a dear friend who is the owner of a renowned coaching business. When the discussion came around to Becka joining this powerful team, she didn’t even hesitate. She said yes! Yes to the Universe; Yes to the clients; and yes to the future. She trained, took ICF accredited courses and became a Master Certified Life Coach.
When Becka isn’t in the shop guiding people to a life of empowerment, she is usually on her 5 acre farm with her husband and menagerie of pets and plants or with her many, many grandkids. Her truest joy is being able to artfully blend her experience, knowledge and love of people to help them create a successful life that resonates deep in their heart and soul.
