  • "For many, many years a day has not gone by when I did not think about my body image and weight. The feelings that go along with those thoughts have never been positive. They have led me to depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, fear, anger; the list goes on and on. To fight this weight gain came numerous diets including : Weight Watchers (many times), MediFast, Jenny Craig, The Atkins Diet, The Grapefruit Diet, and Positive Changes. This is not the entire list. I also spent some years binging and purging. The first question I asked the friend who had suggested I learn about The Healthy Edge was, "Does the program have an emotional component?" I knew that if the emotional piece was not a part of this new path, it would just be another diet. I would lose the weight, I would gain it and more back and I would become more depressed.
