Dr. Pepper Schwartz Ph.D.


Acclaimed author, researcher, and television personality, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, PhD, has devoted her life to furthering the fields of intimacy and sexuality. After achieving a BA and MA at Washington University, St. Louis, Pepper went on to receive her PhD in Sociology at Yale University in 1974. Over the next 40 years, Dr. Pepper has become a prolific writer, authoring many academic and popular articles as well as 25 books on the subjects of love, sexuality, and commitment.

 

Currently, Dr. Pepper serves as AARP's first Love & Relationship Expert & Ambassador and teaches at the University of Washington in Seattle. She also writes a column for AARP.org/nakedtruth as well as lectures nationally and internationally on intimate relationships, sexuality, and women's wellbeing. In addition, Pepper is one of the relationship experts on TV's acclaimed Married at First Sight.

 

She also is the creator of PerfectMatch.com's matching algorithm and the co-developer of a new start-up dating site called Keeper. Her latest books are SNAP Strategies for Couples, Frommer's Places for Passion, and 50 Great Myths of Human Sexuality.
