Dr. Mitch Marder


A Chicago native, Dr. Mitchell Marder earned a Bachelors degree in Biology with honors from Northwestern University in 1977. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois in Chicago in 1981. Dr. Marder then married and moved to Seattle soon after, where he began to teach and do research at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. He opened a private practice in 1982 and began to focus exclusively on natural and holistic dentistry in 1987.

Since then, Dr. Marder has done extensive research and continuing studies in a broad range of fields, including TMJ and pain treatment, orthodontics, mercury removal, nutrition, acupuncture, massage, and homeopathy, to name a few. Dr. Marder is enthusiastic about promoting overall wellness through the application of holistic dentistry and enjoys exploring alternative treatments in addition to conventional dentistry.

He is currently a member of the Holistic Dental Association, the Biological Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, holds an accreditation in the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, and a fellow in the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain.
