Dr. Christina Zampitella


Dr. Christina Zampitella is a licensed clinical psychologist and Certified Thanatologist specialist in death, dying and bereavement. She works as an Assistant Professor at National University and is the president and CEO of Integrative Psychological and Assessment Services. As the lead faculty and developer of the Post-Graduate Certificate in Bereavement Studies at National Universitys Center for Integrative Health, Dr. Zampitella aims to educate the public and train the professionals who work with the bereaved. With over 16 years of professional experience, she is a consultant for multiple agencies that work with the bereaved, and she presents workshops, trainings and presentations internationally on a variety of death, dying and bereavement topics.

She is the author of multiple publications within the field of death, dying, and bereavement, and has dedicated her professional career to the fields of Thanatology and Integrative Psychology. She holds several degrees in psychology, including two Masters degrees one is Counseling Psychology and a second in Clinical Psychology and a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. She was the recipient of the Outstanding Doctor of Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University.

She serves as the Chair of the Continuing Education Committee for the San Diego Psychological Association.
