Cate Montana, author of E Word: Ego, Enlightenment & Other Essentials and Unearthing Venus: Search for the Woman Within, co-author of The Heart of the Matter: Discovering Gifts in Strange Wrapping Paper with Dr. Darren Weissman Hay House Publishing, June 2013, and co-author of GhettoPhysics: redefining the Game with What the Bleep Do We Know? creator Will Arntz. Cate is a freelance writer and editor specializing in the re-awakening of feminine consciousness, metaphysics, physics and the meeting ground between science and mysticism. She writes for What Doctors Don't Tell You magazine (UK) and blogs for The Huffington Post.

Former editor and publisher of the online magazine The Global Intelligencer, and the wildly popular Bleeping Herald newsletter, Cate is author of hundreds of published articles for the mainstream media, including The Seattle Post-Intelligencer and Seattle Magazine. She also worked as NW Bureau Chief for the national Native American newspaper, Indian Country Today. Prior to her writing and publishing career, Ms. Montana freelanced as a videotape editor for U.S. as well as European and Canadian television networks.

With her multifaceted background in television production, scripting, commercial radio copy writing, newspapers and magazines, Cate gradually moved into marketing, developing web content, brochures and press releases for conscious businesses focused on bringing transformational information and products to the world. In 2005 she joined the marketing team for the hit indie film What the Bleep Do We Know?

While working with Bleep filmmakers, Betsy Chasse, Mark Vicente and Will Arntz learning the ropes of the film industry, a lifelong love of movies kicked into gear along with a passion for writing fiction. The result has been three screenplays: The Return, an action/thriller about a politically staged Second Coming of Christ; a film adaptation of the book A Gathering of Selves, the spiritual adventures of Alvin Schwartz, real-life creator of Superman and Batman for Detective Comics; and Killing Buddha, a mainstream comedy about a clueless material Hollywood producer trying to find God and meaning in the New Age, currently in pre-production with filmmaker Betsy Chasse.
